It’s refreshing to have such differing opinions presented to you about everything. His unrestrained temperament is best captured in his own epitaph, which he wrote a few years before his death. Nevertheless, worth a read. He lives in New Delhi. India’s most popular and prolific writer has, over the years, enlightened and outraged in equal measure, and enriched our lives with his humour, his honesty and his sharp insights and observations.
Its unputdownable, and deserves finishing in one go. There are a few khuushwantnama gems in here, but mostly it just seemed like a cranky old man being a cranky old man. He adhered to a strict routine of diet and had a humorous take on life. I read it many times and still look like that I am reading it first time.

He has also edited and translated a number of literary works.

Predictable and highly boring!!!! Khushwant Singh in my opinion had been a very refined, non-conformist person with buoyant spirits. Here, too, are his reflections on politics, politicians and the future of India; on what it takes to be a writer; and on what religion means to him. Must read for Indian people. Outstanding If I can give ten stars to the book,it will be less, such a lively,lovely book Rating this book would be like rating Anne Frank’s diary.
